The Children’s Winter Camp is a transformative initiative by CWN to foster the overall development of children. This program is part of our broader Children’s Development Program, which seeks to protect children’s rights and provide access to quality education, essential life skills, and health education. In many schools throughout Nepal, education centers primarily on exams and rote memorization, leaving little room for creativity, leadership, and personal development.
This gap becomes even more pronounced in disadvantaged communities, where children may miss out on recreational opportunities during school breaks. Our Children’s Winter Camp aims to close this gap by providing a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment for children aged 9 to 15. They can explore their creativity, develop leadership skills, and forge lasting friendships here.
The program explicitly targets underprivileged children whose families may lack the resources to take them on vacations during school breaks. Through creative activities, team-building exercises, and cultural exchanges, these camps provide children with a unique opportunity to grow and develop in ways that extend beyond the classroom.
Winter camps provide children with an invaluable opportunity to develop their social, emotional, mental, and creative skills in a safe and supportive environment. These camps are significant for children in rural communities with limited access to organized extracurricular activities.
We aim to instill essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, and confidence by engaging children in creative workshops, physical activities, and cultural experiences. Through these camps, children enjoy a productive vacation while developing the personal skills they need to thrive.
