CHILDREN’S DAY PROGRAM 2082 AT CWN DATED 14 SEPTEMBER, 2025

CHILDREN’S DAY PROGRAM 2082 AT CWN DATED 14 SEPTEMBER, 2025

“Every child is a different kind of flower that altogether makes this world a beautiful garden.”

Child Welfare Nepal celebrated Children’s Day on 14th September 2025 with great festive fervor, to commemorate the 61st anniversary celebrated across the nation. The program began with a special assembly conducted by the staff members and children to mourn those who lost their lives in the protest led by the Gen Z group against the government to end the corruption and the ban on social media platforms.

In addition, Raju Khadka, Executive Director, gave a formal speech about the importance of Children’s Day and stated that every child should have a basic right to health, education, and other necessary needs.

Likewise, the program was organized with the active participation of the child club members and the supported students.

A total of 23 children participated in the program along with five CWN staff members.

Four activities (a dance show, a quiz, a speech on children’s rights, and a song) were conducted during the program. The dance show was displayed by six girls (Aayushi Shrestha, Rashila Bhandari, Aashika Rayamajhi, Muskan Khatun, Binita Thapa, and Prakriti Budhathoki).

Similarly, Pratima Karki, secretary of the child club, delivered a speech on Children’s Day and the rights of children. Moreover, Anmol Shrestha and Parash Dhami sang a beautiful song, which was appreciated and cheered by all the participants. On the other hand, a total of four groups took part in the quiz competition, where General Knowledge questions were asked to the participants.

The program commenced from 1 PM and concluded at 4 PM. In the end, Kajal Rajak expressed a poem about the children’s day and the children’s rights.

Anima Khadka, Finance Head, anchored the program and expressed sincere gratitude towards all the children who participated in the program.

Subsequently, snacks & refreshment were provided to the children.

Followingly, a cake worth two pounds was sliced, and the children relished a piece of cake, and the children’s day hence came to a pleasant conclusion.

To be precise, CWN is always committed to protecting the rights of the children and their basic needs in the future too.

We thank all those who directly and indirectly supported us in making this program a successful part of the CWN journey.
