On 7th November 2025, CWN hosted a Grocery Materials Distribution Program for one of the deprived, disadvantaged, and most vulnerable families.
The Association Pomme Cannelle supported and backed the distribution program.
CWN distributed grocery materials worth one sack of rice, a packet of salt, cookies (biscuits), and half a liter of cooking oil to all 31 families.
The sanitary pads were also provided to girls above 12 years as a part of menstruation education.
The relief materials were provided to low-income families to boost their morale. The main motto of this distribution program was to fight against ‘HUNGER’.
The main objective of the program was to ‘minimize the vulnerability of families, children, and special needs groups by improving short-term food security situations.
The female group was selected for distribution. Around thirty-one girls attended the distribution program and received the relief materials.
The items were purchased via the Kandel store, a wholesaler based at Kalimai-12.
To conclude, CWN refines the beneficiary selection process to ensure the most in-need families are reached.
Nevertheless, the Grocery Material Distribution Program has proved to be a critical intervention in supporting vulnerable communities. Continued support and, if possible, expansion of the program are recommended to maintain the positive impact on children’s education and family stability.
