Saraswati Puja, also known as Vasant Panchami, is a Hindu festival dedicated to the goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom, knowledge, arts, and learning. It is celebrated across Nepal and India with great fervor, especially in educational institutions, as students seek blessings for academic success.

Activities and Rituals:
1.Prayer and Invocation: The celebration commenced with the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras, invoking the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati. Around 30 students of the child club and CWN staff members participated in the prayers with utmost devotion at the CWN central office.
2.Offerings and Puja: An elaborate puja ceremony was conducted, wherein offerings of flowers, fruits, sweets, and incense were made to the goddess. Students and staff prayed for academic success and enlightenment.
3.Distribution of the offerings: Offerings, consisting of sweets and fruits blessed during the puja, were distributed among the attendees as a symbol of divine grace and prosperity.
4.Cultural Programs: Following the puja, cultural programs such as solo and group dance recitals, music performance, art/crafts, handwriting competition, poetry readings, speech regarding the goddess Saraswati puja and its significance, and quiz competition themed were organized during the program, focusing on knowledge and wisdom. Around 10-15 solo and group dances were showcased during the program by the students. The cultural program was held at Shanti Nikunja Secondary School.

The Saraswati Puja Program was a joyous occasion filled with devotion, cultural richness, and academic fervor. It provided an opportunity for students to seek blessings for success in their studies and showcased their talents in various artistic and cultural fields.
