Honoring Mr. Emmanuel Rouhaud’s Solidarity Journey for Children in Nepal on 21/9/2026

Emmanuel Rouhaud, a 53-year-old energetic teacher and cyclist from France, visited Nepal and
the CWN association with his family two years ago and came to Nepal on 19 September 2026.
Rouhaud was about to visit Nepal via cycle, but the flash flood that occurred a month ago
disrupted his plan. The border point (Kerung-Nepal) was swept away in the flash flood. Thus,
he flew to Nepal via China and arrived in Nepal by airplane on 19 September 2026. On 20th September, 2026, He visited Child Welfare Nepal’s office, interacted with staffs & participated in welcoming program organized by CWN with active participation of its students. He was very delighted to be part of this program.
On 21st September 2026, CWN and HLNF organized a joint venture program to honor Rouhaud’s
solidarity journey for children. A total of 100 participants, including CWN/HLNF family, students, parents,
and other members, attended the event. Similarly, the CWN and HLNF fraternity, along with the children supported by both associations
and the parents, attended the joint venture program.
On the other hand, before the commencement of the program, the Nepali national anthem
was played, and two minutes of silent mourning was carried out by all the participants to pray
for those who lost their lives in the 26 August Bhotekoshi flash flood.
Besides that, the itinerary of the program was carefully prepared by HLNF, and the anchoring
was presented by Mr. Roshan Lamichhane, a teacher at HLNF.
Moreover, to honor Rouhaud’s solidarity journey, a red scarf/shawl (Khaada) was draped as a
sign of respect for Nepali culture. Following this, Roshan Lamichhane prepared detailed notes and gave a formal speech
regarding Rouhaud’s journey and the inspiration it has given to people across the whole world,
including youths. Afterwards, Mr. Raju Khadka and Binod KC also gave a formal speech regarding Rouhaud’s
journey and his help to APC-FRANCE by raising a huge fund to help Nepali children with their
education. As there were many children and parents included in the program, Ms. Anima Khadka also
presented the Nepali version of Rouhaud’s journey to all the participants and briefly
explained the status of his journey from the beginning until now.

Mr. Rouhaud also reiterated that he was really delighted to raise the funds and help APC
FRANCE for the education of Nepalese children. All of Rouhaud’s speech was translated by
Mr. Binaya Manandhar for the ease of understanding by all the parents.

The closing speech was formally presented by Mr. Ramhari Khadka and Parvati KC and
expressed their sincere gratitude to Rouhaud remarkable contribution in helping the children
fund their studies. Child Welfare Nepal & HLNF-supported children displayed some dance performances and gifted the
postcards as part of the guard of honor to Emmanuel Rouhaud.

At the end of the program, Rouhaud also presented some gifts to the organization and the
children.

The ceremony closed with the exchange of gifts, thanksgiving, and the coordination and
cooperation between the Child Welfare Nepal & HLNF for making the program successful. A lunch box was
also provided to all the participants.

To conclude, the program was fruitful and wonderful, and all the participants made the
program successful, directly and indirectly involved.

Both organization would to express their sincerest gratitude to APC-FRANCE for their continuous support,
encouragement and for believing in our mission & standing right beside us.

To honor Emmanuel Rouhaud, a token of love was presented by CWN, and at the same time, he also
