Financial Grant Aid and Support to SUNDARI DHAMI (mother of paras dhami)

Date of the Activity: 09 February 2026
Grant Contributed by: Child Welfare Nepal
Grant Beneficiary: Sundari Dhami (Mother of Parash Dhami)
Venue: CWN Central Office

Brief Report about the Activity:

Parash Dhami is a student being supported by CWN since January, 2022. Parash is currently enrolled in grade 5 at Shanti Nikunja Secondary School. His mother (Sundari Dhami) is a permanent resident of Darchula, currently residing in Jhochhen-23, KMC.
Sundari works as a housemaid while her husband is a security guard.
They migrated to Kathmandu 11 years ago from Darchula in search of better jobs, opportunity and education.
There are five members in the family (Father, Mother, and three children, with two sons and a daughter).
The two sons are in Kathmandu, both studying in the Shanti Nikunja Secondary School in grades 5 and 8, respectively, while the elder sister (Manisha Dhami) is in Darchula.
Sundari Dhami suffered from Cervical cancer, and she showed us all the treatment reports, and thus, we decided to provide a grant/financial aid for her treatment.
She was undergoing her treatment at Bhaktapur based Cancer hospital for the past 7 months.
The grant was handed over by Mr. Raju Khadka, Executive Director.
This small amount of grant will sustain for minor treatment and purchasing a medicine required for a month, Dhami said after receiving the grant.
She also expressed her gratitude towards CWN for providing support in this difficult moment.
