On 30 March 2026, CWN hosted a Grocery Materials Distribution Program for one of the
deprived, disadvantaged, and most vulnerable families. The Association Pomme Cannelle
supported and backed the distribution program.
Materials distributed:
1) Rice- 20 sacks worth 15/15 KG to 40 families
2) Cereals: 40 KG
3) Biscuit: 40 packets
4) Salt: 40 packets
The relief materials were provided to low-income families to boost their morale.
The motto of this distribution program was to fight against ‘HUNGER’. After assessment of all families of supported children through home visit, CWN discovered very vulnerable situation of most of the families. So, CWN tried to include most of the families whose situation was very difficult for this distribution program & tried to decrease their immediate food problem through this program.
The main objective of the program was to ‘minimize the vulnerability of families, children,
and special needs groups by improving short-term food security situations.
Similarly, a mostly female group was selected for distribution.
Around 40 children and their families attended the distribution program and received the
relief materials.
To conclude, CWN refines the beneficiary selection process to ensure the most in-need
families are reached.
Nevertheless, the Grocery Material Distribution Program has proved to be a critical
intervention in supporting vulnerable communities. The continued support and, if possible,
expansion of the program are recommended to maintain the positive impact on children and
families.
